The Cooperative Program

"Spiritually healthy Christians, coming together in healthy churches,
going to an unhealthy world with the healing gospel of Jesus Christ".

The Cooperative Program is the funding process Southern baptists use to support missions and evangelism. Through the Cooperative Program, the mission of one church is extended to ministries which reach the lost, hungry, hurting, sick and displaced. In addition, the CP supports over 10,500 missionaries world wide.
We are thankful to participate in this World Wide ministry.

Overseas Mission

The Stow Family in Chile... (Click for Blog)

Picture

David and Robin Stow & family visited CBC in August 2009 and shared about their future overseas mission to Chile.  As of January 2010 CBC has been praying for and helping to fund their missionary efforts. We are pleased to work directly with an overseas missionary family.
They have four children: Anna Marie (July14: age 12), Caleb (November 24th: age 9), Chloe (August 6th: age 9) and Samuel (September 1: age 6).

Greetings from the Stow family in Santiago, Chile...

We have served with the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention since 2002. We have served in Uganda and Kenya and moved to Santiago, Chile in January 2010 where David joined the Finance Team for the Americas as a Team Leader.

David is a CPA who served as the Treasurer for most of East Africa for almost 4 years before moving from Treasury into Strategy. For the last 3 years, David has worked specifically on developing strategies for both reaching the lost and revitalizing the existing church, through the jobs of Volunteer Coordinator for Kenya and Strategy Facilitator for the Great Lakes Cluster (Uganda, Rwanda & Burundi) in East Africa. Robin is a former teacher who takes care of their home and is involved in ministry through teaching and in various other ways. David is originally from Strafford, MO and Robin is from the Kansas City, MO area, but grew up as a missionary kid (MK) in Ethiopia and Kenya.

I.M.B. Overseas Christmas Offering

Lottie Moon

Picture
"How many million more souls are to pass into eternity without having heard the name of Jesus?"  Lottie Moon left a legacy for Southern Baptists to be active in overseas mission around the globe. Today, according to mission researchers, 1.6 billion people have not heard the gospel of Jesus Christ. More than 5,000 missionaries are supported by the International Mission Board every year, to which the Lottie Moon Christmas offering supports 55% of their annual budget.

Missouri Missions Offering

Rheubin L. South

Picture
The Rheubin L. South offering specifically targets mission within the state of Missouri. Since it's inception in 1985 this annual offering has helped missionaries, church planters, colleges and agencies to further the Lord's Kingdom in Missouri. Giving to this offering clearly reaches people on our own doorstep with the gospel.

Samaritan's Purse

Operation Christmas Child

Picture
"Samaritan's Purse is a non-denominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world". As a ministry of Samaritans Purse, Operation Christmas child involves the collection of Christmas Shoe Boxes to be given to children in need all around the world. In addition to the obvious physical blessing this ministry is a spring board to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. We at CBC have participated in this incredible ministry for the last 3 years and we pray we will continue to do so growing every year.

North American Missions Easter Offering

Annie Armstrong

Picture
Annie Armstrong was a servant of the Lord in her diligent efforts to reach people with the gospel. Annie Armstrong led women to unite in mission endeavors which ultimately led to the formulation of the Woman's Missionary Union (WMU) in which she served as first corresponding secretary. This offering serves to carry the gospel to North America.
